Marilyn the Artist

My life with paint on my clothes starts in February 2008 in an RV park near Lake Okeechobee in Florida. A good friend  invites me to join her at a painting class. I accept; She lends me some brushes, paint and a canvas. I’m hooked. I had wanted to paint for years, just never had the oppotunity.

Now I have an special opportunity to see our worlds from many different perspectives, you see we live  in our motorhome spending our summers near our family in southern Ontario and for the rest of the year,  we travel Canada,  the United States and Mexico as we work our way to winters in warmer climes.

Over the past few years I have learned a lot studying  oils  under Kay Crabtree of Beamsville and Jan Yates of Grimsby but I must thank Sheila Mathewson for lending me her paints and getting me started and Ann Daniels for encouraging me to brush those first few strokes.

All my works can be purchased. If there is one that you cannot live without contact me at
You can view all of my paintings here.

  1. Hi Marilyn–great work with the painting. I especially like the colors you used in the two paintings posted. Hope you are enjoying things in Mexico. Save some of the warmer weather for when we come. Love to you and Larry and the dogs of course.
